Tswife wrote:Hi, everyone,
This is T's wife. I thank you sincerely for caring about Mike ("T" as I have learned) and for your kind words. Yes, he absolutely loved working on his covers!! He would often ask me to come over to his computer so he could show me progress on a movie cover and the disk. Just a week before he passed, he was so very happy telling me about something he had recently learned--something about fading. All I knew is that he was always sitting at his computer and staying up until wee hours of the morning. I could also tell that he would be working on a movie for a day or two and then had moved onto the next.
I am so very touched hearing your feedback about Mike. He was the love of my life. Some of his barber shop customers who had also become close friends (like you) over 35+ years have described him as a "CHARACTER" with all caps. Another customer said at the funeral home, "Mike was Mike." Sometimes, at his barber shop, I would help him with typing feedback to someone while he was cutting hair. He would most usually check things on his barber shop computer after haircuts.
Of course, I miss him dearly. I will always be grateful for the time I had with him. I am also grateful to you for the friendships that he developed with each of you. Yes, I had heard so much about you over the years that you are "rock stars" to me.
Again, my deepest thanks to everyone.
Best,
Diane
