Reminded me a lot of the Jennifer Garner disaster Peppermint, stellar cast and a pretty decent plot - then somehow the whole thing just disintegrates into a tangled depressing mess.

Movies like these should come with a warning: "This movie WILL suck the life out of you! Watch at your own peril."
