Wii Backup Software

Postby tmscrapbook » Jan Sat 29, 2022 1:01 pm

This may not be the place to post this, but I was unsure where to post my request. Does anyone know of any software or method for making a backup of a Wii game? We have had to purchase the Wii Sports Resort game 3 times because our grandsons either wear out the disc or it becomes unplayable. The game is getting more and more difficult to find, and I would like to make a backup copy of the disc we now own.

Any help would be appreciated - THANKS in advance :)

I've looked into this a few times and it all seemed to complicated for me.  If you figure something out that works I would love to know.

But I don't want to convert video, I want to make a disc backup of a Wii game - a disc to disc copy.

All I can find are illegal ways to do it, lol - I guess Nero wouldn't work because these games are copy protected. You might want to check at download.cnet.com/ and see what experts say about it. They might suggest a good software.

Try iSkysoft DVD Creator, it will convert any disc to either DVD or Blu-ray format.

Unfortunately, to use this software, the file needs to be in an .ISO format, then the Wii must be modded in order to recognize it.

I've had success! A fellow that I have created lots of covers for had some experience copying his Wii games. I never did get a working disc copy, but I was able to copy my game to a USB flash drive and was successful in playing the game from the flash drive. I am so excited!! I will be backing up all my Wii games to a USB hard drive once I return to Washington. Hopefully, that will save wear and tear and scratches on the discs.

Thanks to everyone who had suggestions for me and tried to help :)
