Melissa Barrera, star of the upcoming musical movie adaptation of In the Heights, has signed on to lead the survival drama series Breathe at Netflix.
The series was ordered at the streamer back in February. Barrera will star as Liv, “a razor-sharp Manhattan attorney who finds herself profoundly out of her comfort zone when her small plane crashes in the Canadian wilderness and she must battle for survival.”
Netflix has ordered six one-hour episodes of Breathe. Martin Gero and Brendan Gall are co-writing and executive producing the series, with Gero executive producing under his Quinn’s House Production company.
This sounds like a crazy show that has a good chance of being intense and fun to watch. Are you interested in checking it out?
