When you start a new Topic you have the option to add a poll to the first post of that topic, the steps to do that are outlined below.

Notes.

1. If you edit your post and change the number of poll options then all previous votes if there are any will be deleted and a whole new poll will begin.  You can correct typos etc as long as the number of poll options does not change see section "B".

2. When you edit the first post as the author there will be a option to delete the poll on the Poll Creation tab, understand this in not undoable so if it's deleted then it is gone forever.

3. Moderators these rules apply to you as well so editing someone else's post with a poll can result in it being deleted or reset if done incorrectly.
