Re: Braveheart

It's moving along nicely Nick! If you keep the white for the front background, may I suggest that you try and color your spine? Instead of a white background, maybe chose a dark brownish color you can find on your front image? Just the spine as the back and front seems fine for now.

personally ive never been a big fan of the different coloured spine but once i have finished the cover i'll give it a go and let the people decide,  :D .

i have had an idea for the back but im not sure if it is a bit too samey/uncreative.

what does everyone think?

That's a lot of stills I'd probably go with just three, I like the white spine in this case :)

If you want to keep all the stills, then I'd move the top image up and add the features between it and the first row of stills.

that is the plan, i was tryiing to figure out where to put the features and that seemed like the best option, just trying to figure out whether i will put a frame round them, plain text or a banner of some description.

was also looking into different image options as i think that one is a little too similar to the front, so far no luck though.

A action scene would be good but resources are scarce...

There definitely wasn't a massive selection of images to choose from for the back but I think this one is the best of the ones I could find. I have also added all the remaining text. I'm not sure if I am have to add a special features banner or not, I think this works but I dont usually do a special features section so not sure if I can get away without a banner or not.

I dont think I need a background/texture but i might have a play around with it to see if one would improve it or not.

I think i am quite happy with the way it has turned out but if any of the artists on here have any suggestions they think would improve the overall appearance of the cover feel free to let me know and i can try it out.

And here's one for chouette:

Personally i prefer the white version but i said i would let the people decide so let me know which you prefer.

That's a good image, I like it.

I tend to not like the titles being different colors, so I'm with the white spine version or you could use a light color on the spine where the dark title still works, those would be my choices.

:D

Might find another weapon and add it to the left corner, so it's not so bare over there?

thanks.

i did think of maybe doing a sideways barcode there but wasnt sure. not sure about the floating axe but there is technically a little give in image so i could move it over slightly.

i was playing around with the idea of maybe trying gold in place of the black but its about 6am and i am knackered so will maybe try a little tweaking tomorrow.

Now that I see it, white spine is definitely the best choice. Thanks for showing it to me, appreciate it. Cover looks very nice so far!

No problem at all.

so i have done the last few touches, i have changed it to region 2 but i plan on having both variations so just ignore that. i have changed all the black to light brown, i think it looks better but let me know if you disagree.

i added some text in the gap on the front but couldnt get a weapon on the back to work, just couldnt get something that looked right.

also received a message from topmeasure pointing out that the back image i chose was also a screenshot so changed a couple of the screenshots to correct this as he had a really good one i wanted to incorporate.

so here is the (possible) final update but if anyone has any other suggestions let me know, cheers:
